I am in NEDVILLE!!!

Hi,
I have not posted in a long time.
But had my first colonoscopy today since I was dx-ed in 08 and not one single polyp. YAY!!!
Also had a CT scan done last week for the breast cancer and it was clear there too.
So, I am officially NED!!!!!

Best wishes to all!!!

Re: constipation after ileostomy takedown

I had my take-down in Feb.
This is what works for me. I have Benefiber with Miralax mixed together in the am in a breakfast drink. Then at night I have Konsyl pfsyllium before dinner. Not perfect but it keeps things moving and bulks it up so I do not go sooo much.

Good Luck!!!

They say a person's wealth is not measured by money but how many friends one has. Bradyr you will leave this earth a very wealthy man. The footprint you leave here will continue for others to gain knowledge, to help them through their own journeys. Your strength has been so admirable. I have learned...

I am not saying this what you have but that is how my hernia appeared. My was at the site if my LAR surgery and it was huge. My repair scar is just 3 inches short of my first full zipper.
Best of luck!

Re: drinking water question

We have a filter that is just hooked up through out refrigerator. It is amazing how well it works. I would have a problem paying that much unless it was a filter for the whole house and we had really hard water.
Good luck!!!

When your children are asking each other wheres mommy, "where do you think in the bathroom" . :)

When you are really considering putting a desk in the bathroom so you can keep up with work.

Yum, I wonder about a bathroom/library I am getting a lot of reading done in there.

Re: Hernia question?

I agree with Belle. A call to your surgeon would be wise. I had a surgical hernia but mine is where my LAR incision was. I just had mine repaired a long with my ileo take down. Mine made me look like I was 6 months pregnant and it really hurt. I needed a hernia belt for it. Which to me felt a lot li...

Re: Illeo Reversal

That is great news! I had my reversal and surgical hernia repair 4 weeks ago tomorrow and you sound like you are ahead of me. Good for you! I ended up with a 2 week stay in the hospital. My body just was not waking up no matter how many times I sprinted through the halls of the hospital IV stand in ...
