Re: Blood clots and low oxygen and hospice OH MY

Dear Mohrfamily, I second what Carboxo said in above message - I get it. Cruising through that whole caregiver role for a couple of years just puts you on autopilot at the end. You just have to get everything done, including those things you mention with funeral home. I get it. It of course depends ...

Re: My CRC with liver mets journey

Hi Gina, Thank you for your posts. You are a very good, strong and caring person. This is really good news that your onc has a plan for you to operate further. Best wishes and all good vibes sent to you from Europe. On a topic of what happened to your husband, yes, I have been in a similar situation...

Re: Goodbye

I am very sorry to read about your mum's passing. I have read some time ago on this forum that mum's passing is the first sorrow one has to deal with alone. Because the mum is no longer here to comfort and support and for an unconditional love. I do not have much words of comfort. Just wanted to say...

Re: MSI or MSS

Hi Stu, My mother was MSS and we had to privately pay for this test on her tumour, which they preserve for sometime in a specialised lab. When she was tested, Keytruda was not yet approved and even if it has been approved now by FDA , I doubt it will be covered by social security system, so people h...

Re: My mom has passed away on Wednesday. Thank you all for this wonderful support forum

Thank you for your message and the link. I do visit this site very often because I feel a very strong connection to people here. I do not post, but I read a lot and it gives me comfort. I am still struggling with accepting the loss of my mother to this decease - after more than 9 months. My doctors'...

My mom has passed away on Wednesday. Thank you all for this wonderful support forum

Dear all, My mom has passed away on November 29th. It was a very rapid decline. Since her diagnosis in August 2016 I have read the threads on this forum (even dated several years back) almost daily. The wealth of information and support here people give to each other has been life saving for me and ...

Re: Deciding if I should take Irinotecan and Cyramza

Hi, My mom now started Irinotecan (folfiri) + Cyramza. Please see signature for history. She progressed unfortunately on Folfox + Avastin, Folfiri + Avastin and now they switched her to Folfiri + Cyramza. She is being scanned every 2 months (MRIs and CT with contrasts). Her decease is currently limi...

Re: ramucirumab + folfiri

Hi Meatie, Our onc has mentioned ramucirumab (Cyramza). I am planned to discuss more with him in the next days. My mom unfortunately progressed on Folfox + Avastin, so they are not able to do cyber knife at this stage. She only had 1 treatment of FOLFIRI + Avastin and second is tomorrow. We -rescan ...

CYRAMZA/Ramucirumab with FOLFIRI vs. Avastin + 5FU?

Hi All, Cyramza has been approved in 2015 for mCRC patients failing the first line of treatment (FOLFOX + Avastin). In combination with FOLFIRI. In people KRAS mutant. We are not taking this route yet, just preparing for Plan B in case something comes up in the scans tomorrow. One must always be pre...
