Re: Xeloda and abdominal pain

For example, if your initial IV antibiotic was Flagyl (metronidazole), then it is for Gram-positive bacteria only and will not work at all for Gram-negative bacteria. If your abscess is caused in fact by a Gram-negative bacteria, then something like Meropenem might be more appropriate. This stateme...

Re: Covid 19 vaccine

You are correct stu, moving the revaccination timeline is NOT in accordance with the stated / tested / approved process. From my readings, the Pfizer-BioNTech requires a 21 day booster and the Moderna a 28 day booster. People develop protective response 7 days after the second Pfizer vaccine, so 28 ...

Re: Covid 19 vaccine

Guys, all good thoughts. No-way will I take an experimental vaccine. I’m trying to see if it’s possible to get Regeneron to make a custom plasma vaccine just for me. Respectfully my friend : did I just read what you wrote ? The mRNA vaccines HAVE been tested and vetted even by Health Canada which i...

Re: Stage 4 “no cure without surgery”

Hi , I shared this once on here about ten years ago and it created a big debate about my mum being in denial and needing a reality check . CRGuy had to come to my rescue back then ( different user name ) It was a bit of a shock for me at the time as I felt she was awash with reality checks . As my ...

Re: Stage IV colon cancer with BRAF mutation

Dr. Cerkek thinks that because my husband is responding well to this chemo that we should wait for the more aggressive one and only use if we need it later. We need a third doctor opinion I guess to decide what to do. What are your thoughts? Since you asked, my JMO would be go with MSK and save the...

Re: COVID-19 vaccine thoughts/concerns

Hi everyone, I was wondering what others on this forum are thinking about the COVID-19 vaccine. Question 1: Are you open to getting the vaccine right away or do you want to wait until more information is published about side effects, safety, etc.? I would be if I were in the demographic which seems...
