Re: incisional hernias

Joe has been dealing with hernia surgery as well. It's a rough one here too, as there were also multiple hernias rather than just one. You wonder if it is worth it to get the surgery.

Re: COLON CLUB MSG BD DEDICATION TO BRADYR

Hannah and Molly, thank you so very much for honoring Bradyr this way. He truly walked along with us as caregivers, family members, and warriors fighting CRC, and he changed us for the better in his example of courage and honesty.
It's a perfect tribute.

? about Joe's CT scan

Joe (son in law) got his latest ct scan results back today. Didn't see onc, just called the office, and whoever he spoke to said there was no evidence of metastic disease, but that there was "fatty liver infiltration" . He will be seeing the onc to go over the results on the 23rd but we ar...

Re: Headed back to Chemo Land

Angie!! I hate this for you! :x You know you will be on my daily prayer list for sure. Joe is ok. He has a bulge the size of a fist on his ab. that is not quite a hernia, in the sense that it still has some thin stretched out muscle covering it, but he has to be really careful. CT scan for him next ...

Re: Joe may have a hernia..

Thank you so much for the repiies! Joe has an appt. tomorrow with the surgeon who did his resection, and we will know more then, but he has ignored this for weeks as well. I think he just plain didn't want to face the thought of more surgery ect. He finished oxi/5fu in Nov., and like everyone else j...

Joe may have a hernia..

He goes to the doc on Monday (onc. surgeon ). Has a lump the size of his fist on his right front abdomen. He had his resection a little over a year ago, and a ct that looked ok 2 months ago, but at that time the onc told him his colon had shifted and was laying against the abdominal wall, and that a...

Joe's ct scan

My son in law, Joe, had a recent ct scan which he was originally told was clear, however at the doc appt. following, the onc told him the colon (which was resected a year ago and 36" was taken) had shifted and was pressed against the left abdominal wall. He is overweight, and onc told him he wa...

Joe has finally crossed the Folfox finish line!!!!

Joe's last chemo was yesterday! He had gone 6 weeks without a tx because he had an upper resp. inf. that would not let go, but he finally was able to have tx #12 yesterday. Got 9 w/ oxi and 3 with just 5fu. Now we are on to the scans. CT in Dec., scope in Jan. and PET in Feb. He is really sick right...
