Re: Lung nodules and other lung "thingies"

Not sure if my profile is on the list but I did have a 8/9mm nodule in the upper left lobe at diagnosis 5 years ago. Followed and watched on CT. (History is in my signature.) It grew to 1.1cm last spring and a biopsy showed it to be adenocarcinoma, a primary lung cancer, unrelated to the CC. So in a...

Re: Lung Thingy

When I had my first scan at diagnosis in April 2016, there was a small 8/9mm nodule that my doctors put on a watch list. Over the years there was a little variance of 1mm more or less as measured but it was typically called "a stable nodule." This April it appeared to be 1.1cm so it was de...

Re: Discouraging scans after liver resection, advice needed

Hi - I don't have any input except to give you a virtual hug. The uncertainty and waiting is often the hardest part. Hopefully someone will come along soon with some wisdom.

Re: COVID-19 test required by Cancer Center

Another yes for walks in the sun! I'm so grateful for my dog who gets me outdoors and keeps me sane! I'm having a biopsy on a lung nodule Monday and the hospital requires a COVID test within 3 days beforehand. Scheduled for Saturday. Interestingly, when trying to schedule my scan at the end of March...

Sadness beyond words to read of Tom's passing. So many have benefited from his knowledge, his example of perseverance, and the generosity with which he shared all he discovered. He was and shall always be a light in the darkness. RIP Tom

Re: Post op food

Hi Sheree ~ I had open surgery, a nice 6" incision straight down the middle. I was on a "nothing by mouth until gas" plan. Basically I had ice chips and nothing else for 5 days, but I wasn't really hungry anyway. Then soft food for a day, a regular bland low-fiber meal the day I left ...

SO very sorry to see this. He always seemed undefeatable... and I think because of the impact he's had here, he is. Loved his positivity, and his gardening reports. He was and will always be an inspiration. RIP and thank you BrownBagger!

Do you live in California? Almost everything in CA has "may cause cancer" warnings due to over-compliance with CA Prop 65:

Re: Cea question

I was Stage 1 (T2N0M0) but have a nodule on my lung that's being watched, so I get bloodwork every 3 months, CT 6 months. Pulmonary onc said not to worry about the nodule but we're still keeping an eye on it. Also watching a nodule on my thyroid. MKC70 - I'm curious, if every test shows nothing, how...
