Spasms

Does anyone else, who has late stage/end cancer, experience frequent spasms from the legs or body? I think it's caused by long-term, high doses of pain meds.

Re: Low Anterior Resection Syndrome: Do you have it?

I got a Colostomy back in January of this year. January 11 actually. I got it due to the severe bowel issues I was having because of LARS. Constipation, diarrhea when I took laxatives/stool softeners and when I had chemo. Most severely stool fragmentation and clustering. Going to the bathroom 10, 20...

Palliative Radiation

I am starting Palliative Radiation next week. Hoping to lessen the pain I am in from these tumors. Just wanted to see if anyone else has been through this and has any experiences.

Honestly, my advice would be to support her in whatever decisions she makes and help make her feel as comfortable as possible.

Re: I have less than a year to live

DH is on Vectabix and getting a great response...I don't see that in your sig...did you try it? Haven't been on anything since I quit the Irinotecan last August. I was having severe nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea, even at half the dose. It was extremely toxic to me. I chose to quit because it was m...

I have less than a year to live

So, I met with my surgeon yesterday. 4 months after having Liver Resection Surgery and thinking I was in the clear, I got the news that the Cancer is back. I have new metastatic activity/tumors in my peritoneum and diaphragm. My surgeon said without any further treatment, I probably have less than a...

5 weeks post-op Liver Resection surgery

So, I am 5 weeks post-op from Liver Resection surgery. I had the right lobe of my Liver and my gallbladder removed. The surgeon also cut out a tumor that was on my diaphragm and a removed a malignant lymph node that was just right outside the Liver. He also cut out part of my Adrenal gland, which he...

Re: Severe bone pain in lower leg

Back in October/November 2017, I was having severe leg pain also. Just in my right leg. I couldn't put any weight on my right leg at all. I couldn't move my right leg at all. I went to the emergency room twice in the month of December. Once in mid-December and the 2nd time, 3 days after Thanksgiving...

Colostomy

I finally made the jump. I had surgery Thursday to get a colostomy. Feeling very relieved to have made the decision and relieved that I got the stent, that I had put in 4 weeks ago, removed yesterday.

Re: Quitting chemo

Edited bc I didn't see your second post. Do you mean when is the best time to say hey I have had enough, no more treatment? Yes, that is exactly what I meant. To give an update, I stopped chemotherapy in the beginning of August. Been off of it for going on 3 months now. It was just taking a major t...

Surgery

So, I was supposed to go in for surgery this Wednesday, November 8. But, surgery is now off for the time being. My parents and I went to meet with the Surgeon, last Friday, to sign the consent forms. But, I had an emotional meltdown and a disagreement with my surgeon. I ended up cursing. My Surgeon ...
