Oops! So sorry....thought the original post was Eric (saw "Bag" and thought it was Eric). However, my sentiments still stand. Congrats CaliforniaBagMan. Whether you have bike miles and gardens or not...

Re: Now in year 10 after Stage IIIb diagnosis

Eric, I just logged on with you in mind specifically. I too am a long-timer here, having reached 10 years last year. As always, it's good to hear how you are doing. You are my hero on this forum, as I believe you are to many here. Your strength, endurance, persistence, pain, joy, impressive bike mil...

Re: Odd Hand Thing

I agree - it does sound like Reynauds Syndrome. I had it prior to Oxi and still have it, many years later. Especially in grocery stores after cooling down after a workout.

Re: Super terrified about Oxaliplatin

Although it was over 7 years ago for me, I clearly recall that I was terrified too.....and relieved that it wasn't as bad as I'd expected. I have to echo Eric's advice regarding exercise. I too found that exercise broke that cycle of anxiety right after the 46-hour disconnect. I'd run it off, someti...

Re: Brainstorming Time

OK. One of the things that really bugs me about CRC events, is it's about the butt. Undy 5000. Get Your Rear in Gear. I'm working with our local Get Your Rear in Gear committee for our October event, and being a survivor, I told the other committee members (not survivors but those who've lost loved ...

Re: San Diego Get Your Rear in Gear 5k

It's a 5k run/walk. Nobody has to sprint!! It's more about folks turning up to show support and to build awareness about colorectal cancer. You can be a team leader and build a team to raise funds, or participate as individuals. You might be able to register as a group - not sure though. Check out t...

San Diego Get Your Rear in Gear 5k

The Get Your Rear in Gear 5k is taking place in San Diego on October 13th! The website is open for registration at http://www.getyourrearingear.com. I'm a long time member of the Colon Club, now a 6-year survivor of Stage III CRC. I'd love to pull together a Survivors Team so if anyone from San Dieg...

Re: Folfox ? Makes u glow ??

Hi Victoria,

I didn't glow but I definitely looked like I had a healthy tan! People even commented on it because they expected me to look pale and gaunt during chemo. If I recall correcty, it didn't last long.
