Re: Complete pathological response

Congrats to hubby - sounds like a similar protocol to me and with an identical result. In terms of the tail bone pain - I can’t offer any assistance. I have a dullness in my tailbone from time to time but it wasn’t after surgery and is usually if I’ve been sitting for a long time. As for the ‘spasms...

Re: Goodbye

I’m so very sorry to hear. Mum’s are very special, and it sounds like yours was special and then some.

I hope you can look back on the happy memories.

Sending hugs,

Re: "Dr" Google can be good

So true! Reading articles from medical journals provided me with info to ask questions of each of my specialists along the way and generally, more often than not, they appreciated that I had taken the time to read up on treatment plans etc.

Re: Scanxiety is real!

Scanxiety is the WORST!!!

I normally have my scans the Thursday or Friday before an appointment so I only have to worry about it over the weekend but this time I’m having them Thursday and don’t see doc for another 10 days due to work commitments!

Sending you some positive vibes!

Some good, non-cancer related news

Gday butt-buddies, hope you’re all well. It’s been a while since I’ve been on here (is that a bad thing?) but just wanted to share some good, non-cancer related news. I’m not sure if I’ve ever mentioned what I do, but I am a prosecutor for the state of New South Wales (Sydney is the state capital). ...

2yrs NED

2 years ago I woke up to the news that my ass-Cancer was successfully removed and I met my temporary stoma, Steve. Unfortunately, later that day I would also OD on morphine, requiring Narcan/Naloxone later that day but that’s another story. A few days later I would get my pathology results that I ha...

Re: Scared about bowel issues

Welcome to the forum but sorry you had to find us. You certainly did the right thing by making an appointment to see your doc. I would definitely recommend demanding another colonoscopy. There are a bunch of different things that could be causing your symptoms and the best way to rule all the common...
