Re: Suspicious CT scan - need feedback

Saw my oncologist this morning. He thinks they're probably artifacts because they just appeared out of nowhere compared to earlier scans but he's doing a blood test and I'm being scheduled for a bone scan test and MRI just to make sure.

Re: Suspicious CT scan - need feedback

I've never had radiation. Thanks for your response, it's very helpful. I guess I'll have to have more tests and/or schedule my next scan sooner. I would normally discuss this with my wife but I don't want to alarm her needlessly over something that could be nothing so it's good to have somewhere to ...

Suspicious CT scan - need feedback

I had a colon resection in November 2015 and have been clear since then except for one nodule that had appeared in my lung between the pre-surgery CT scan and the beginning of chemo two months later. This nodule was monitored and seemed stable but when it started growing I asked for it to be removed...

Re: Peripheral neuropathy question

I finished my 12 cycles of Folfox at the end of June. I had been warned to watch for signs of neuropathy but aside from a few days of cold sensitivity (particularly bad in the winter), I noticed no symptoms ie no tingling or numbness. In the last 2 months or so of my treatment I did notice daily ins...

Re: Any Stage IV long term survivors here?

Hello All, And if ALL of this wasn't BAD enough, his last CT scan showed blood clots in one of his lungs. The onc put him on Lovenox for an indefinite period of time. This is a real hardship for us financially, as it costs $330 per month for the daily injections! After my PICC line was removed, a f...

Re: I'm scared

Got the CT scan results and the lung nodules are stable so they think they're not cancer and therefore I'm still Stage III. Hurray! Am starting Folfox cycle 8 of 12 today.

Re: I'm scared

Thanks. Since it was a lung scan only I didn't have to take that awful contrast fluid or even change into a gown. Quite quick. I have my 8th cycle (of 12) of chemo tomorrow so since the CT was done in the same hospital I expect I'll know the results tomorrow. Hoping for the best.

I'm scared

In November I was diagnosed with colon cancer. I had passed out after a month or so of stomach problems. Earlier, after an ultrasound, my doctor thought it was gallstones and I was awaiting an appointment with a surgeon but when I passed out and went to emergency they determined, after an X-ray and ...
