Re: NEW THREAD FOR LOVED ONES LEFT BEHIND ONGOING

HI Jerry, I know exactly how you feel since I lost my beloved Ron only 9 months after his diagnosis. I feel his cancer was even more advanced than your wife's. You are right, it will be a long very tough road ahead. But it sounds like you are doing all the right things and have a strong, positive at...

Re: NEW THREAD FOR LOVED ONES LEFT BEHIND ONGOING

I think 'moving forward' is great, but don't rush it. Whatever pace you go is fine. I still cry over my Angie for any or no reason and it's been over four years. Didn't know Frenchie, but I'd bet he'd have liked you wrapping that shirt around you. You're going to be ok. It may not feel like it all ...

Re: NEW THREAD FOR LOVED ONES LEFT BEHIND ONGOING

Hello Everyone, I am new to this thread and thought I would check it out. It has been a little over two weeks since Ron (Frenchie) has passed away. I have had many good days but they out of the blue I am crying, that was yesterday. It was a normal day butt I would cry at the drop of a hat. The nigh...

Re: NEW THREAD FOR LOVED ONES LEFT BEHIND ONGOING

Hello,

I am new to this thread. My husband Ron passed away on 12/29/16.

I am slowly healing from deep grief and want to join in the conversation for ideas on how to better manage during this time.

Thanks a lot everyone!

And Happy Mother's Day to all!

:)

Re: Wives of husbands with Stage IV Colon Freaking Cancer

Hello Friends, I have some good news to share. DH has had 5 treatments of Folfirinox. We met our oncologist today to go over the results. Tumors are clearly shrinking. He had one large and two small mets on his liver (possibly on the surface.) The two small ones have completely disappeared. The peri...

Re: Wives of husbands with Stage IV Colon Freaking Cancer

Laura, I agree with LPL's post. Everything you said rang really true for me. I did lose my precious Ron to stage 4 colon cancer on 12/29/16. Since then it has been very hard coping. His funeral was 1/3/17 and I am finally completing the mailings of the funeral thank you cards. Praying for you. Hang ...

Re: Wives of husbands with Stage IV Colon Freaking Cancer

Hi, This is my first post here. My husband was diagnosed with stage IV CRC at the end of January. He has mets to the peritoneum wall, the omentum, and maybe the liver. The liver mets seem to be on the surface and may actually be on the peritoneum and just crushed up against the liver. He has starte...

Re: Wives of husbands with Stage IV Colon Freaking Cancer

Hello Mojo, The caregiver (me) in my family have been a caretaker after a car accident Oct 12 2016. It happened when hubby & I had just started a 'batteri charging' vacation after hubby had recovered after his 3rd surgery (resection of the liver mets) and before starting chemo again. I ended up...

Re: NEW THREAD FOR LOVED ONES LEFT BEHIND ONGOING

Yes, good idea to bump this thread. It is one avenue to throw one's feelings, thoughts out there. Plenty of threads to read & identify with. It can be helpful to know that there are others who understand. Candy, sleep disturbance + grief can certainly affect one's ability to focus, or possibly ...
